Robbie Fowler picks the perfect moment to publish blackface photo

Showing the impeccable timing that made him an Anfield goal-scoring legend, Robbie Fowler has waited until Liverpool are embroiled in a high-profile race scandal to post a two-year-old picture of himself in blackface on his Twitter feed.

The former Liverpool striker, now a coach at Muangthong United F.C. in Thailand, commented on the photo:

“80′s theme fancy dress 2 years ago… Any guesses. Not Chris Kamara.”

Unsurprisingly, Fowler has since removed the image and any references to it from his feed.

I wonder what Sergio Ramos would make of all this?
