Video: Jerry Seinfeld’s dog makes a plea for Jose Reyes to stay

OK, so I take back everything I said about “Jose Reyes” being a terrible name for Jerry Seinfeld’s new dog. Don’t get me wrong: I still contend that he doesn’t want a lifelong reminder of a big disappointment every time the hound rubs against his feet or digs up his garden. He should have gone the safe route and named him “Kranepool.”

But I admit that I underestimated the power that bringing a dachshund puppy on national television might have in a competitive free-agent market. C’mon Jose, how are you going to say no to the New York Mets after seeing a face like this one?
