DTotD: Lazily faking a cross will get you kicked

Corinthians sealed their Campeonato Brasileiro title on Sunday with a 0-0 draw against Palmeiras, but Palmeiras still got their kicks in. Late in the match, Corinthians’ Jorge Henrique decided to hang out in the corner with the ball in a stand-off against Joao Vitor, who didn’t appreciate his tactics. So when Jorge Henrique finally decided to make a move, Joao Vitor took him down with prejudice.

This sparked a bench-clearing scuffle and earned Joao Vitor a sending off for his second booking and a straight red for Corinthians’ Leandro Castan, bringing the match’s red card total to four. Seems like an appropriate end to a football season.
