Ball Don’t Lie is protesting the NBA lockout in its own special way
It’s a Friday, the NBA‘s owners can barely stand to meet for as long as it takes to work through a tub of take-out Lo Mein, and everyone is angry at everyone. The NBA is in the midst of a lockout, and there’s little we can do about it.
Until these mugs decide to get it right, we’re going on a bit of a nostalgia trip. We’re mindful of the possibly apocryphal quote attributed to Abbie Hoffman, something about how “nostalgia is a mild form of depression,” but we don’t mind. It is a Friday, after all.
As a reaction, we’re only showing videos at Ball Don’t Lie today. “Lockout videos,” we call them. Clips that have absolutely nothing to do with everything, save for our love for this game.
To lead off? Easily our favorite NBA advertisement of all time. Our favorite advertisement of all time. Our favorite anything, of all time. A more detailed description can be found here.
